is an exciting adventure story about
how a team of enterprising young
residents of Gaea (a tropical
resort) embark on a dangerous quest
to help locate the source of some
mysterious pollutants appearing in
their water supply. The intrepid
group of friends sets forth on an
upstream journey in search of clues
and, along the way, they encounter
some unsuspected and alarming
evidence of pollution. The book is
utilized in 7th grade science
classes, and is supported by a
Reader’s Guide that contains
comprehension and science questions
in addition to important information
